This project consists primarily of mechanical revisions to the former Courthouse, with associated general and electrical system and finish modifications. The County intends to award multiple contracts for such - General Construction, Mechanical Construction, & Electrical Construction. Due to funding sources, the project is subject to PA Prevailing Wage Act, the Build America Buy America Act, and other special provisions. Bidders can view the Project Manual at the reception counter of the Mifflin County Commissioners Office or through various construction plan services. Proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to Mifflin County in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid proposal. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Mifflin County Commissioners reserve the right to reject any bids, or to waive any informality in the bid process when it is in the best interest of Mifflin County and may reject the bid of any bidder who they determine is not qualified to perform the Contract. The construction is targeted to start May 8, 2025, and be substantially complete by December 15, 2025. No interpretation of pre-bid documents will be made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation five (5) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. A shall be in writing and emailed to the Architect.
