Renovation of a residential development in Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
**As of August 18th, 2025, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Mifflin County Planning & Development Department is accepting sealed proposals for the rehabilitation (interior & exterior general construction, minor plumbing & electrical) of one single-family home in Mifflin County Payment Schedule: 25% of the total contract amount will be paid at the start of the project 65% will be paid upon substantial completion of the work The final 10% will be paid once all parties are satisfied and after the project passes the final lead clearance testing as well as the final electrical inspection The above house contains lead-based paint that will be disturbed as part of this project. Prior to being awarded the contract for this project, the successful contractor will submit their current EPA RRP certification. Projects over $25,000.00 may require Lead Abatement by a Certified Lead Abatement Contractor. Also, prior to starting a new project the successful contractor should submit their Pennsylvania Contractor's Registration information and an updated copy of their insurance certificate with the Mifflin County Planning & Development Department listed as a certificate holder. If PA Prevailing Wages apply to the project, which is if the total goes over $25,000.00, a copy of the current wages will be included with the bid packet.
