This project will construct three offices in Coover Hall room 1219. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing ceiling, lighting, and HVAC equipment. Installation of new walls, doors, hardware, ceilings, lighting, electrical and HVAC. Patching of carpet. Painting of new and existing walls. Questions regarding the scope of work should be directed to the Design Professional. Each bid shall be submitted using the electronic bidding documents provided at www.bidexpress.com and shall include bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which the Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the Work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten (10) days after receipt of Notice of Award. The Iowa Board of Regents seeks to provide opportunities for Targeted Small Businesses in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 73 of the Code of Iowa. This project has a participation goal of 10% for certified Targeted Small Businesses as specified in the Project Requirements. The Iowa Board of Regents, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Question Deadline 06/12/2025 Each bidder shall examine the contract documents carefully and, not later than seven (7) calendar days prior to the date set for receipt of bids, shall make written request to the Design Professional for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which may be discovered.
