There is a pre-bid meeting associated with this solicitation The Bidder further proposes and agrees hereby to promptly commence the Work with adequate forces and equipment within ten (10) calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed and to complete all Work within One hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from the initial Notice to Proceed The Contractor shall not proceed to furnish such services and the City shall not become obligated to pay for same until a written authorization to proceed ("Notice to Proceed") has been sent to the Contractor from the City. The Contractor shall commence the Work no later than ten (10) days after the effective date of the Notice to Proceed and shall achieve Substantial Completion of the Work, as hereinafter defined, no later than one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from the date onwhich the City issues the Notice to Proceed. This shall constitute the Contract Time. Failure to achieve Substantial Completions by the time specified will result in the assessment of Liquidated Damages at the rate of $500 per calendar day. The Work shall be carried on continuously and expeditiously, itbeing understood, however, that this Contract may be extended or continued in force by the parties hereto by Change Order as provided herein.
