Exterior Renovations Include: Replacement of designated low-slope roof areas; coating of existing metal roofing; modifications to existing flashings; and replace designated sections of roof drainage. Interior Renovations Include: Replacement of existing flooring, including abatement of asbestos flooring, in corridors, classrooms, office, and toilets; replacement of lockers; replacement of toilet partitions; and upgrade attic sprinkler piping. BY ALTERNATE BID No. 1: Replace flooring in classrooms 113, 114, and 115, Art Room 123, and Science Room 128. BY ALTERNATE BID No. 2: Provide custom cabinetry cubbies and cabinet in classrooms 101, 102, 108, 109, and 110. BY ALTERNATE BID No. 3: Perform designated work in Cafeteria 134 and Toilets 07 and 08. Partial sets may be purchased at the cost of photocopying and shipping cost upon completion of a request for partial plans/specifications form and submitting to the Architect. Documents may also be downloaded from the Architect's website for bidding purposes only. In accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, all bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid. The surety company must be authorized to do business in the state where the project is located and must be acceptable to the School District. If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the District will reject the bid. Proposals shall be made on unaltered bid forms which are incorporated herein. All blank spaces shall be completed. Proposals shall be signed with name typed below signature. When bidder is a corporation, proposals must be signed with the legal name of the corporation followed by the name of the state of incorporation and the legal signature of an officer authorized to bind the corporation to a contract. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds acceptable to the District all in accordance with of the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall carefully examine the documents and construction site to obtain firsthand knowledge of the existing condition. Contractors will not be given extra payments for conditions which can be determined by examining the site and documents. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty days (60) subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the District.
