As of May 1, 2025, an architect has been selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Pascagoula, Mississippi is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide professional engineering and design services for the Pascagoula City Hall Improvements Project. This project is funded wholly or in part with American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations shall apply. The purpose of this project is to improve, remodel and expand the existing City Hall building, located at 603 Watts Avenue, to provide a more efficient use of space to allow for the consolidation of city services. Engineering services will include providing design services, cost estimates and project schedules, overseeing the bid process, contractor selection, and construction administration and oversight. Criteria for engineer selection shall be based upon the following: Qualifications Description of Criteria Weight Criteria Knowledge Demonstrated experience in municipal facility design and renovation. 20% Ability to Serve Demonstrate the availability of resources necessary to meet the project schedule required by the Owner. 20% Experience Evidence of sufficient professional engineering experience with similar projects. 20% Past Performance Prior experience with the City of Pascagoula and familiarity with ARPA funding requirements. 20% Capability Capability to perform work in a timely manner including location of firm and availability of staff. 20% Upon completing there view process, contract negotiations will proceed with selected engineer. In the event that a contract cannot be negotiated with the most highly qualified firm, negotiations will continue in order of qualification Letters of interest shall include the name of the firm, name of the licensed professional to be in charge of the work, overview of the project team and experience record relative to scope of work, statement regarding potential conflicts of interest, organization chart, list description of any past litigation activities, list of any proposed subcontractors, and a signature of the authorized agent of the firm.
