This project generally consists of the installation of two roundabouts along Ridgeway Avenue at the intersections of Cyber Lane and Waterway Avenue, the installation of Gibson Drive, site grading, storm sewer, water main, sanitary sewer, sidewalk, street trees, and landscaping within the roundabout center island. A scanned copy of the Bid Bond must be included with the online The successful Bidder shall furnish to the City a performance bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing the completed project against defective workmanship and materials for a period of two (2) years from and after completion and acceptance by the City. The successful Bidder shall also provide a payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing payment of all persons supplying labor and materials, or both, in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. There will NOT be a pre-bid meeting. The Contractor shall be substantially completed no later than November 21, 2025. Liquidated damages in the amount of $2,000 per calendar day shall be assessed for each calendar day after the substantial completion date. The Contractor shall fully complete the project no later than May 30th, 2026. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000 per calendar day shall be assessed for each calendar day that work remains uncompleted after the completion date. Fully complete includes the completion of the project and primarily includes the remaining utilities and roadway pavement of the eastern half of Gibson Drive, and all trail, landscaping, lighting, site grading, and final restoration. The work under the proposed contract shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in the written Notice to Proceed and shall be performed regularly and diligently throughout the duration of the project. The City of Cedar Falls reserves the right to reject any and all proposals including without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids.
