Reference Number 0000377547 Job Location 230 Hathaway Blvd, New Bedford, MA 02740 Bid Intent Deadline 03/19/2025 05:00 PM EDT Question Acceptance Deadline 03/14/2025 05:00 PM EDT The City of New Bedford, Purchasing Department, in conjunction with the New Bedford Public Schools, is soliciting sealed bids for the New Bedford High School Window Replacement located at 230 Hathaway Blvd, New Bedford, Massachusetts 02740. The work of this contract will require a DCAMM Prime Contractor certification for Doors and Windows. The bid process and award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 149. The estimated budget for this project is $105,000 and the estimated substantial completion date is the end of August 2025. The contract will be awarded within sixty (60) calendar days after the bid opening. The time for award may be extended by mutual agreement between the City and the awarded bidder. No Bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days, after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Bid deposits may be in the form of Certified Check, Certificate of Deposit, or Bid Bond made payable to the City of New Bedford, Massachusetts. The Awarded Bidder must furnish a 50 percent (50%) Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the City. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of the Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project.
