Site work and new construction of a medical facility in Edmonton, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 300-bed medical facility.
Construction of two involuntary drug addiction treatment centres in Edmonton and Calgary, each with 150 beds. The facilities are anticipated to be approximately 16,000 m2, comprising elements of B1 and B3 occupancies, with various support, staff, and family spaces. The Northern Alberta Compassionate Intervention Centre (NACIC) site will be located off of Fort Rd. NW and 18 St. NW, north of the Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. The Southern Alberta Compassionate Intervention Centre (SACIC) site will be located north of the Country Hills Blvd and 85 St. NW, Calgary. TIMELINE: Project delivery method will be Design, Build, Finance, and Maintain. Colliers Project Leaders have been engaged to provide Bridging Consulting Services. A Request for Qualifications from contractors was issued in 2025. The goal was to identify three teams for participation in the RFP phase of the DBFM procurement process which was expected get underway in late October, 2025. Further update may be available spring/mid-2026.
