The Work under this Project consists of constructing intersection improvements consisting of a new fourlegged, signalized intersection for Norview Ave, Robin Hood Road, and Airport Loop Road. In general, improvements consist of earthwork and grading, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter and median improvements, drainage improvements, pond excavation, signing improvements, pavement markings, utility improvements, signal improvements, and maintenance of traffic during construction. Contractors Should Note There Two Volumes of Design Plans That Accompany the Contract Documents: Orf Intersection Realignment Construction Plans Vol 1 Orf Intersection Realignment Construction Plans Vol II Project consists of the following Schedules: Schedule 1 - Work Area 1 depicted on Design Plans Schedule 2- Work Area 2 depicted on Design Plans Schedule 3 - Work Area 3 depicted on Design Plans Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid shall be submitted with each Bid. Contractor registration in accordance with Title 2.2 Chapter 43, Code of Virginia is required. The Bidder shall include in its Bid the following notation" "Licensed Virginia Contractor No." Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be subject to and in accordance with Section 2.2-4330 of the Code of Virginia and the Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to waive minor non-substantive informalities in the Bid, to reject any/or all Bids, to award any Bid in whole or in part and award the Bid considered to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to negotiate with the lowest responsive, responsible Bidder should the Bid exceed available funds.
