The Work includes all labour, material, equipment, and services; the work shall consist of supplying, loading, hauling and spreading of traffic gravel for divisions 1, 4, and 5 (maps attached, but specific areas will be determined in spring). Gravel supply will be paid on a yardage basis and shall be inclusive of stripping of overburden at the pit, gravel screening and crushing, stockpiling, loading, hauling and spreading on specified municipal roads as per the municipality's direction from the contractor's source pit. The RM will require approximately 10,000 yards and reserves the right to reduce or increase the amount by quantities up to 10%. Any amount of gravel not laid and spread shall be purchased and stockpiled at either the Rhein gravel stockpile [PT SW 23-27-02 W2 OR PT NE 22-27-02 W2] or Dunleath gravel stockpile [PT NW 34-25-02 W2 - Lot 22-Blk/Par 1-Plan AH2105 Ext 0]. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits, licenses and certificates and pay all fees required for the performance of the Work and shall give all required notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, codes, and order of all authorities having jurisdiction relating to the Work, including preservation of public health and construction safety. The RM may, at any time and without liability, withdraw from negotiations with any or all proponents and reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The lowest bid is not necessarily accepted. No action of the RM other than a written "Notice of Award" with a Certified Resolution of Council shall constitute acceptance of a bid. The contractor is responsible for the testing of the gravel and ensuring the material meets 105- 108 traffic gravel specifications with 7/8 inch crush. The contractor's scale for measuring the yardage shall be subject to inspection should the RM wish. The contractor agrees that the commencement date shall be June 17, 2025 or immediately after spring road restrictions have been lifted and must be coordinated with other municipal activities and are dependent on current road conditions. The contractor shall complete the Work on all required roads by August 31, 2025. Any gravel not laid on roads shall be stockpiled for future use in order to meet the terms of the Tender.
