The Rural Municipality of Wallace No. 243 requires a contractor to provide the service of loading, hauling and spreading approximately 10,000 yards of gravel on municipal roads from two stockpiles located at: Rhein gravel stockpile [PT SW 23-27-02 W2 OR PT NE 22-27-02 W2] AND Dunleath gravel stockpile [PT NW 34-25-02 W2 - Lot 22-Blk/Par 1-Plan AH2105 Ext 0]. The gravel will be loaded in quantities that amount to approximately 4,000 yards at the Rhein location and approximately 6,000 yards at the Dunleath location. The gravel will be used to service divisions 2, 3, and 6 (maps attached). Specific locations and amounts will be determined after the spring thaw. The RM reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities by + or - 10%. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits, licenses and certificates and pay all fees required for the performance of the Work and shall give all required notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations, codes, and order of all authorities having jurisdiction relating to the Work, including preservation of public health and construction safety. The contractor agrees that the commencement date shall be June 17, 2025 or immediately after spring road restrictions have been lifted and must be coordinated with other municipal activities and are dependent on current road conditions. The contractor shall complete the Work on all required roads by August 31, 2025. Any gravel not laid on roads shall remain stockpiled for future use. The RM reserves the right to stop the haul or to extend the contract. The RM may, at any time and without liability, withdraw from negotiations with any or all proponents and reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The lowest bid is not necessarily accepted. No action of the RM other than a written "Notice of Award" with a Certified Resolution of Council shall constitute acceptance of a bid.
