1. Mobilization: This work shall consist of preparatory work and operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project site for the establishment of offices, buildings, and other facilities necessary for work on the project and for all other work or operations which must be performed, or costs incurred when beginning work on the project. 2. Contractor Layout: This work shall consist of the contractor performing or causing to be performed all necessary survey and layout of the improvements, including setting line and grade. The engineering consultant will be responsible for setting control points, but the contractor will be responsible for the layout of all other improvements. 3. As-builts: This work shall consist of the contractor providing to the owner a complete set of asbuilt drawings that satisfactory depict the location (line and grade) of all improvements installed as part of this contract. This shall be provided as both a paper copy and an electronic copy. 4. Soils Testing: This project is located within a designated Urban Area. Any testing required by a receiving site within the Urban Area is included in the cost of MOBILIZATION/CONTRACTOR WORK. In the event testing reveals that soils exceed the contaminate levels to be classified as Urban Soils, additional testing required to determine the appropriate soils disposal methods will be paid for separately by the Owner in accordance with Special Provision #5 - DISPOSAL OF CONTAMINATED SOILS.
