The City of Ainsworth is advertising for persons interested in bidding a project at the East City Park to be completed during the Spring/Summer construction season 2025. The project will include three different bid sections: A. concrete pad to be utilized for outdoor basketball and pickleball; B. chain link fencing around the exterior perimeter of the concrete pad; and C. upgrade of existing lighting and electrical at the site. Concrete Specifications - East City Park Basketball/Pickleball Court o 4,000 psi concrete - 114' x 114' x 6" o Pad to be installed with same footprint as existing tennis court at East City Park o 1/2 " rebar mat 2' on center o Sealed expansion joints every 10' - no tar sealing of expansion joints o 12" x 12" thickened edge around the pad o Minimal slope to allow water to run off o Smooth outdoor court finish o July 1, 2025 completion deadline Fencing Specifications - East City Park Basketball/Pickleball Court o Fencing to cover the outer perimeter of a 114' x 114' x 6" cement court/pad o Chain link for outdoor sports court - commercial grade 9 gauge wire o 8' tall fencing with top and bottom rail o Add mid rail/divider o 1 - 36" gate o 1 - 6' gate o Work to be completed following the installation of the new cement pad (Bid Section A) - construction season 2025 The City shall have the right to reject any or all bids. lectrical/Lighting Specifications - East City Park Basketball/Pickleball Court o Minimum 68,000 lumen LED 5K lights (stadium lights) o Mount 2 lights on each existing pole (4 poles = 8 lights) o Lighting controlled by lockable outdoor switch with 1 switch - specification to handle the lighting load o Existing underground is believed to be usable, however, the bid needs to include any potential underground work needed for the new lights o All wiring must be done to current NEC code and all permits are contractor's responsibility o Work to be completed following the installation of the new cement pad (Bid Section A) - construction season 2025 Awarded Bidders: Concrete Bid: Bob Walton at $79,385 Fencing Bid: Schumacher Bros at $15,570 Lighting & Electrical Bid: Travis Electric at $8,014.96 Total Bid: 102,969.96
