It is the intent of the City to award a contract to the most qualified and proven offeror for Falconry Based Bird Abatement (FBBA) Services. The City is seeking an offeror who will be able to provide these services along the 2.45 mile long boardwalk, the 8 miles of oceanfront beaches and within the downtown and business districts. The City of Ocean City has been contracting this service out since 2019 when an emergent condition was declared by an unprecedented amount of seagull attacks. The scope of the contract has continued to expand since its first award in 2019 and includes boardwalk, beachfront and citywide abatement services. Due to the complexity of this contract, it will be advertised and bid using the competitive contracting process using price and other factors outlined by N.J.S.A. 40A:11 (4.3)-(4.5). Question Submission Deadline: March 7, 2025, 12:00pm. Bidders shall be required to submit with the bid proposal an electronic bid bond in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00 dollars, payable unconditionally to the City. The successful bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed performance bond in the amount of one-hundred (100%) percent of the acceptable bid proposal as security for the faithful performance of this contract.
