The Board of Education for Auburn GUSD #10 will receive sealed bids at the office of the Superintendent, Darren Root, 606 West North Street, Auburn, Illinois 62615 for PROPOSED Science Room Remodels for Aubum High School CUSD #10 511 North 7th Street, Ilinois 62615. Generally, the work includes the removal of existing science casework and fume hood, furring out of existing walls, and installation of new science casework, fume hood, underground gas and electrical, skim coating existing walls, painting and floor finishes. Properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate. Bid Deposit in the amount of 10% of Bid. Not less than the prevailing wage rate as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor pursuant to Illinois Revised Statutes, Ch. 489, Sec. 39s-1 el. seq. All Bidders are advised that all work of this Contract shall be subject to the provisions of the "Illinois Prevailing Wage Act". Prevailing wage rates have been determined and are on file at the Office of the State of Illinois Department of Labor, telephone (217) 782-6206. Alt Bidders shall submit and endose with their bid a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding on the Contract as a result of a violation of either Section 33 E-3 or 33 E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1296 (Senate Bill 2002) eflective January 1, 1989. Certification is located on the Bid Form, Section 00 5000, of the Project Manual. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 10% of Bid, made payable to The Board of Education for Auburn CUSD #10. Failure of Bidders to submit bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of bid. The Successtul Bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost on prescribed forms within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance is issued by Owner. Surety on bond shall be by a duly authorized U.S. Treasury Backed company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois, acceptable to Owner. The Aubum CUSD #10 Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and reserves the right to waive any irregularity in bidding, which in their considered opinion is warramed. No bid shall be withdrawn lor sixty (60) days after opening of bids without written consent of the Owner.
