Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Hurt, Virginia. Working plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Only received 1 bid and it was rejected. The project consists of partial demolition of the existing pump station, construction of a new pump station, and all necessary site and ancillary work to connect the pump station to existing water infrastructure to remain. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to OWNER in an amount of 5 % of Bidders maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bon. The Work shall be substantially completed in 270 calendar days from the notice to proceed and 300 calendar days from notice to proceed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions. Accordingly, instead of requiring any such proof, Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for delay (but not as a penalty), Contractor shall pay Owner $600 for each day that expires after the time specified OWNER further reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder whom it finds, after reasonable inquiry and evaluation, to be non responsible Question Deadline 03/23/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to ENGINEER in writing. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
