Renovation of an educational facility in Centralia, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,185-square-foot educational facility.
The Grand Prairie CCSD #6 Board of Education, will receive bids for roof and kitch en work at Grand Prairie Elementary School, Centralia, IL 62801. A. Work to be Bid: 1. Roofing Contractor Work to be covered by the base bid shall include: Lobby, Office & Stage Roof (4,575 SF)- Removing existing roofing system to decking and installation of new 60 mil membrane, R-30 insulation, re instal-lation of gutters and downspouts. Includes 1-year total warranty and 20-year roof sys-tem warranty. Classroom Roof (3,560 SF)- Removing existing roofing system to deck-ing and installation of new 60 mil membrane, R-30 insulation, re installation of gut ters and downspouts. Includes 1-year total warranty and 20-year roof system warranty. Bus Barn Roof (2,050 SF)- Removing existing roofing system to deck ing and installation of new 60 mil mem-brane, R-30 insulation, re installation of gut ters and downspouts. Includes 1-year total warranty and 20-year roof system warranty B. Type of Contract: 1. Roofing Contractor Bid security payable to the Owner in the amount of 5% of the total Bid, shall be executed by the Bidder in the form of certified check, bank draft, or acceptable surety. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Payment and Performance Bond. Contractor must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accordance with Illinois Wages of Employees of Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). Wages printed in the Project Manual are for the month of bidding only. Certified Payroll is required to be submitted with all Pay Applications. The successful bidder will be required to execute a Payment and Performance Bond. Contractor must pay all sums of money due or to become due for any labor in accor-dance with Illinois Wages of Employees of Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Owner anticipates all work contemplated in the Construction Documents shall commence June 1st, 2025 and be finally complete no later than August 1st, 2025.
