Morton CUSD 709 2025 Maintenance & H.S. East Gym Renovation Bids shall include labor, materials, tools, equipment, and services for completion of the entire Project under a single fixed-price General Contract, between the Owner and the General Contractor. The apparent low bidder will be required to submit a Qualification Statement for this Project within 48 hours if requested by the owner. This must be submitted on AIA Document A305, "Contractor's Qualification Statement" as requested in Project Manual Document 001153. Every bid shall consist of two (2) fully completed copies of the Bid Form Documents and shall be ac-companied by a bid guarantee consisting of bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made payable to MORTON COMMUNITY UNIT SCHOOL DISTRICT #709, in amount of five percent of total bid amount. Failure of bidder to submit an acceptable bid bond, certified check or cashier's check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of his bid. Successful bidder will be required to provide Surety Performance Bond and separate Labor and Material Payment bond, each in amount equal to 100% of contract price, within 10 days after prescribed forms are presented for signature. Surety on bonds shall be a duly authorized company acceptable to Owner. No bid shall be withdrawn for 60 days after opening of bids without consent of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept or reject any or all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will service the best interest of the Owner. It is anticipated the Morton CUSD 709 Board of Education will award the Project after subsequent board meetings following the bid opening. The Architect will issue a Notice to Proceed with the Project.
