Site work for a water / sewer project in Englewood, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A. The completed Work will provide Owner with improvements to the City Ditch Raw Water Delivery System (RWDS) that conveys raw water from Chatfield Reservoir to Englewood's Allen Water Treatment Plant for treatment. B. The City has identified four total segments or reaches for improvements (Reach 1, Reach 2, Reach 3, and Reach 4). The scope of work for these Contract Documents covers Reach 3 and Reach 4 only. C. Work included in these Contract Documents consist of: 1. Pipe or cover approximately 1 mile of open and unlined sections of the RWDS subdivided into two reaches (Reach 3 and Reach 4). 2. Install hydraulic siphon structures (precast vaults and manholes) to account for changes in pipeline elevation. 3. Provide a permanent, direct connection from the City Ditch to the Allen Plant, bypassing the north reservoir. 4. Provide flow control and flow measurement via a V-notch weir for Contract User turn-outs to receive flow from the RWDS. 5. Construct or reconnect existing Contract User service connections to the RWDS. The City of Englewood (City) Utilities Department is seeking qualified Contractors to complete the City Ditch Piping Project.
