Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to an educational facility in Powell River, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the addition of a 56,034-square-foot, one-story above grade educational facility; for the demolition of a educational facility; for site work for a educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.

The project consists of the construction of an 895 square meter single story wood frame addition on concrete foundations including architectural woodwork, doors, frames and hardware, gypsum wallboard and insulation, acoustic t-bar ceilings, modified bitumen roofing, metal cladding, aluminum curtainwall and storefront windows, skylights, miscellaneous specialties including toilet partitions, security roll shutters, mechanical and electrical systems and underground civil services. The existing area of the school renovations include replacement of the HVAC system, lighting upgrade, suspended ceiling replacement, structural upgrades, new gymnasium flooring and equipment, and an updated Special Ed. Classroom, Washroom and new Administrative Office area. This will be a phased project requiring multiple occupancy turnover, engineered and professional sign-off, deliveries, mobilizations, and fire alarm verifications etc. Work will progress in accordance with the project schedule and phasing plan and/or as directed by the Construction Manager. All materials are to be delivered to site in accordance with the phasing plan to mitigate prolonged site storage. The lowest or any tender not necessarily accepted.
