The Cass County Environmental Services Department is requesting proposals for Subsurface Sewage Treatment System (SSTS) inspections for new installations, replacement systems, system expansions, and system upgrades. Inspectors must be licensed by the MPCA to conduct inspections. Please submit proposals on a per-inspection basis. For your information, there were 402 installations inspected in Cass County in calendar year 2024, 459 installations inspected in 2023, and 478 inspections in 2022. Excellent technical and communication skills are required. Permit information as well as protocol and details about the inspections may be obtained from the Cass County Environmental Services Department, PO Box 3000, Walker, MN 56484, or by calling 218-547-7241. Cass County reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all proposals and to award a contract or contracts upon such basis as is deemed to be in the County's best interest. The contract is projected to begin on April 1, 2025. Contractors are encouraged to submit additional items with costs on a separate document included with their proposal if they feel the specifications presented are not adequate to complete the work.
