Renovation of a theater / auditorium in Plantation, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 10,905-square-foot theater / auditorium.
**As of December 09, 2025, the project was awarded to Set Up Project Management LLC, with an awarded amount of $709,074.97** The Contractor is to Provide the Construction Tasks for the Work Involved in a Complete Roof Replacement and Structural Repairs at the Deicke Auditorium. Demolition Work Shall Include but Not Be Limited to the Removal of Existing Roofing Materials, Including Shingles, Membranes and Underlayments, Plywood Decking, Fascia Boards, Soffit Panels, and Roof Drains, Etc., in Accordance With the Requirements of the Contract Documents. A Bid Security is required for this solicitation the original bid security shall be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City of Plantation, 400 NW 73rd Ave, Plantation, Florida 33317, BEFORE the due date of the solicitation. Charles Spencer can be reached at 954-797-2647, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Email: ESpencer@plantation.org The City of Plantation, Florida is soliciting bids for Deicke Auditorium Roof Replacement and Structural Repairs. The project will generally consist of, but is not limited to, the following: The contractor is to provide the construction tasks for the work involved in a complete roof replacement and structural repairs at the Deicke Auditorium. Demolition work shall include but not be limited to the removal of existing roofing materials, including shingles, membranes and underlayments, plywood decking, fascia boards, soffit panels, and roof drains, etc., in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents. The City Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Accept the One That is in The Best Interests of the City. Question Deadline 10/24/2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bid Documents shall be submitted to City Rep in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by City Rep in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda and posted to the Demand Star website by City Rep. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids will be answered at the discretion of the City Brief description of work at Deicke Auditorium as follows (see drawings and specs for more details): a. Remove existing asphalt shingles and roof membranes. b. Remove all existing fascia boards. c. Remove all existing asbestos soffit panels. d. Remove existing roof drains. e. Install temporary cooling HVAC units. f. Remove existing mechanical units. g. Provide new equipment curbs, condensing unit stand, insulated fiberglass and galvanized metal ductwork. h. Remove and replace condensate lines. i. Remove and replace electrical disconnect switches, and weatherproof receptacles with new on Unistrut framing. j. Replace ALL plywood and wood plank decking. k. Install new rigid insulation. l. Install new cover board. m. Install new standing seam metal roof and underlayment at sloped roofs. n. Install new KEE membrane at flat roof. o. Install new fascia boards. p. Install new gutters and downspouts. q. Install new parapet knee wall assembly, engineered by roofing manufacturer/Contractor, caps and flashing. r. Install new rooftop mechanical equipment curbs. Reinstall existing mechanical units s. Install new stucco soffits, including temporarily removing the existing light fixtures and reinstalling up completion of soffit work. t. Install new tie-down clips and straps at existing roof structural members. u. Repair cracks at existing trusses. v. Shore existing structure, as required, to make necessary repairs. w. Remove and reinstall existing hurricane shutters as required for the soffit new installation.
