The Project (Contract No. 1) includes the following Work: Contract No. 1 - Furnishing all materials, labor, and necessary items for the construction and installation of approximately 6,450 linear feet (LF) of 4-inch and smaller diameter waterline, one (1) 50 GPM booster pump station, one emergency standby generator, gate valves, water meters, and other related items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. Contract Times for Contract: 120 calendar days to substantial completion and 150 calendar days to complete work ready for final payment. Contractor shall pay Owner $1,000 for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for Substantial Completion until the Work is substantially complete. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. All bid must be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee Bond payable to the Owner for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid or a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Letter of Credit in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid. DESCRIPTION A. This work involves construction of the Sugar Tree Ridge Road Waterline Extension Project for the Birch River Public Service District. This project includes the extension of the water distribution system along Sugar Tree Ridge Road (Route 1/4). The project involves the construction one (1) booster station, 4 inch and smaller water mains and includes all work designated in these specifications and as shown on the contract drawings. In cases where a work conflict exists between contract plans and specifications, the Contractor shall request a determination from the Engineer as to which shall govern. In cases where work has not been exactly detailed or specified, the Contractor will be required to use materials and workmanship equal to and comparable to other work and materials specified, for the project. In all cases, material and workmanship shall meet or exceed all established codes or standards listed in Section 01090, Reference Standards. All questions shall be submitted via email to: Kenneth W.
