The District is requesting pricing for the project, which includes, but is not limited to: Exterior Painting scope of work site, refer to Appendix A for details on the scope of work ando specifications The District will award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder Location- BOOKER T WASHINGTON SCHOOL 223 South 1st Street EL CENTRO, CA 92243 Contract time from NTP: Work to be completed in 52 calendar days: June 9 - July 31; project completion on or before July 31, 2025.The El Centro Elementary SD has an established liquidated damage rate of $500 per calendar day foreach and every calendar day that the work remains uncompleted or unaccepted by the District Estimated Construction Cost - For Bonding Purposes Only: $120,000.00 MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATIONEach bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, andbe licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder mustpossess a valid and active Class B/C33 License at the time of bidding and throughout the duration of thisContract. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder'sproposal.Subcontractors shall be licensed pursuant to California law for the trades necessary to perform the workcalled for in the Contract Documents.Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the Contract Documents as defined in theGeneral Conditions.The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in anybids or in the bidding process. ***Prebid meeting: A brief overview of the project and the distribution of documents will be followed by a walk-through of the school sites listed above to allow bidders to become familiar with the project conditions, to review the location of installation, and to assess/document the existing conditions required to be restored upon the completion of work/project. Doors must have any objects removed before painting such as numbering or bulletin boards. Numbers must be repainted on doors. 16 Glass mosaics need to be preserved 17 School marquee pole 18 Building numbers (blue squares) need repainted same colors. 19 All portable ramps 20 Murals need repainted the same colors. 21 Basketball poles and court lines 22 Soccer goals on playing field field - painted white 23 Concrete stage repainted - same colors 24 DO NOT INCLUDE METAL LUNCH SHELTER 25 Parking lot lines and curbing NOTES: Contractor shall power wash Patch all damaged stucco prior to painting exterior building The contractor shall be responsible for preparing all surfaces, per coating manufacturers guidelines, prior to repainting Large cracks (greater than 1/4"in in width) must be V-grooved out and all other surfaces defects corrected, such as holes. Gouges must be repaired using the appropriate patching materials to match the texture and surrounding surface profile. Dust surface, spot prime and roll all patch areas with appropriate primer and finish coat.
