Renovation of an educational facility in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project completes interior renovations focused on remediation of failed plumbing systems and fixtures which have led to ongoing mold, rust, and other architectural deficiencies throughout the Sandburg Hall East Tower. The HVAC, electrical, and fire alarm systems will be renovated to resolve deferred maintenance and comply with current life and safety codes. The project will also create new ADA accessible resident room and bathrooms. Plumbing laterals, fixtures, and shower surrounds that have corroded from years of use and require an increasing number of emergency repairs will be replaced. The repairs on a lower floor show signs of water damage from leaking upper floor pipes. As of March 3, 2025, The project is include in the State's 2025-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
