VBCPS will, by this request for proposal, establish an annual contract for the maintenance of the gas fired and electric boilers, gas fired water heaters, gas fired hot air furnaces and roof top equipment; Annual preventive maintenance on Fulton Boilers following the manufactures specifications and other associated work, at the locations listed on the Boiler Equipment Schedule as per the following requirements. The contract requires one annual maintenance during the summer and three triannual preventive maintenance sessions at equal intervals throughout the remainder of the year, in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. All work and repairs including emergency service will be at an hourly rate. All travel time shall be included in the hourly rate. BACKGROUND VBCPS is a suburban school district located in southeastern Virginia, serving a student population of approximately 67,000. The VBCPS includes 56 elementary schools, 15 middle and 11 senior high schools plus special programs at 6 other sites with an operating budget of over $700,000,000. VBCPS employs approximately 10,000 full-time employees and approximately 4,000 employees in a part-time capacity. The Emergency Generator Maintenance and Inspection contract shall support the VBCPS school district by providing maintenance and inspections on 54 emergency generators to ensure operational readiness for critical infrastructure in case of a power outage. CONTRACT PERIOD The contract period will be effective from July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, with the option to renew annually for five (5) additional one year periods, upon agreement of both parties. All prices shall remain firm throughout the contract period.
