Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Hempstead, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
A fee of $100.00 (check only) payable to the Town of Hempstead will be required of all bidders for a copy of the proposed Contract documents. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Town of Hempstead for not less than 5% of the estimated amount of the bid. The Town of Hempstead reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Federal equal opportunity and labor standards are applicable for all work performed under this Contract. Minority owned, women owned and disabled veteran owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. In accordance with Town policy, if the amount bid exceeds $250,000.00, the bidder on this project must have an Apprenticeship Program(s) in effect pursuant to Chapter 3 of the Code of the Town of Hempstead, appropriate for the type and scope of work to be performed, approved by the New York State Commissioner of Labor. For example, Storm Water Drainage and Road Improvement projects would require an Apprenticeship Agreement in place at the time of bid for Operating Engineers and Skilled Construction Craft Laborers. Failure to have said Apprenticeship Program(s) in place at bid submittal will result in the bidder being deemed non-responsive. ESTIMATE: $225,000.00
