The Project consists of all work, including equipment and materials required for the replacement of the existing roofing system and associated pieces relative to said systems for the Majorie Hayden House located at 70 Pine St in Waterbury, CT. Scope of Work Summary. Anticipated services as identified on the plans and specifications to be performed by the Contractor shall include, but are not limited to, the following: a. Remove existing roofing surface and underlayment and provide proper disposal of all demolition material. b. Protect and secure the exposed roof against inclement weather and leaks of any kind during the entire construction period. c. Replace all flashing, coping, gravel stops, drip edge, pitch pockets, etc. d. Install new roofing to replace all existing roofing surfaces. e. Evaluate the roof drainage system and make any necessary repairs or replacements. f. Clean work area after completion of work. Daily clean-up is also required. g. All labor, services, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, and incidentals necessary to complete the Project. h. All safety required in accordance with OSHA requirements. i. Contractor to coordinate with all occupants during the construction. The agreement period for any contract or purchase order resulting from this RFP is anticipated to be 60 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion and 90 consecutive calendar days to final completion from the written notice to proceed. Each proposal with a total cost greater than $50,000.00 submitted shall be accompanied by a proposal security (a certified check or bid bond) in the amount of ten (10) percent of the total proposal price. The proposer witha contract totaling more than $50,000.00 must furnish a one hundred (100) percent performance bond with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. In the City's sole discretion, it may also require a one hundred (100) percent payment bond and/or other additional security with a surety, and in a form, acceptable to the City. The City reserves the right to award in part, to reject any and all proposals in whole or in part for misrepresentation or if the proposer is in default of any prior City contract, or if the proposal limits or modifies any of the terms and conditions and/or specifications of the RFP. The City also reserves the right to waive technical defects, irregularities and omissions if, in its judgment, the best interest of the City will be served.
