The objective of this project is to insulate various steam lines running underneath Generali Elementary School. Scope of Work: o Insulate steam lines with high-quality, high-temperature-rated insulation that meets or exceeds industry standards. o Utilize fiberglass or mineral wool insulation with an aluminum or PVC jacket for protection against moisture and mechanical damage. o Ensure proper thickness based on pipe size and steam temperature, adhering to ASHRAE and industry guidelines. o Install vapor barriers and protective coverings where necessary to prevent heat loss and condensation buildup. o Secure all insulation with stainless steel bands or other appropriate fasteners for durability. o Perform final inspection and testing to confirm complete coverage and system efficiency. Project Walkthrough & Measurements The insulation scope, including pipe lengths and diameters, will be finalized at the scheduled on-site walkthrough to ensure accurate material estimates and labor calculations. Materials & Compliance All materials used will comply with OSHA, ASHRAE, and local building codes to ensure safety, efficiency, and longevity. Work will comply with OSHA confined space entry standards, ensuring proper ventilation and worker safety. Note: Please review the Insurance Requirements included on the subsequent page of this bid. Proof of insurance must be provided at the time of award; naming the City of Waterbury as an additional insured.
