Site work for a civil project in Cascade, Idaho. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The proposed project consists of constructing a new drinking water well, pump house, and piping to connect to the existing City distribution system. RUS has assessed the environmental impacts of this proposal and determined that the location of the drinking water well and pump house will convert or effect a floodplain or critical action floodplain. In accordance with Executive Order 11988, Floodplain Management and USDA Departmental Regulation 9500-3, Land Use Policy, the Agency is notifying the interested public of this land conversion. It has been determined that there is no practicable alternative to avoiding this conversion or effect and that there is a significant need for the proposal. The basis of this determination is that the improvements are necessary to meet current and future DEQ source production standards and that it is not feasible to locate the facilities in a different location.
