Cobb County ("County" or "Owner") is issuing this solicitation for Light Pole Removal/Replacement, Relamping of Field Lighting, and Repairs to Electrical Systems. Question Submission Deadline: March 4, 2025, 5:00pm All questions must be submitted through online. Bids received after the date and time indicated will not be considered. Cobb County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities, to reject portions of the bid, to waive technicalities and to award contracts in a manner consistent with the county and the laws governing the State of Georgia. Unless an emergency requires the immediate removal and replacement of damaged poles, the contractor shall have forty-five (45) working days from the date of notification by the Cobb County PARKS Department ("PARKS") to commence work. Contractor shall inform the Parks Operations Manager when work will commence. Except in the case of emergencies, work shall be performed between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM., Monday thru Friday. All field lighting must be operational by the end of each workday (5:00 PM), unless otherwise approved in advance by the Operations Manager. All other work related to the repairing of electrical systems, either indoor or outdoor; sports field lighting; and re-bulb work must be completed in an acceptable timeframe within industry standards after the "Notice to Proceed" for the specific project is issued. The described work shall be performed in a manner subject to the approval and supervision of PARKS. PARKS or other designated County representatives shall have free access in the supervision of the work being performed at all times. The Contractor shall complete the work within the specified timeframe unless otherwise approved in writing. Failure to complete the work within the specified timeframe will result in the assessment of liquidated damages at the rate of $250.00 per day. Contract awarded as a result of bids submitted under this Sealed Bid shall extend from the date of award for a period of 12 full months. Contract is renewable, at the option of Cobb County Government, and upon written agreement by the vendor. However, the total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options, shall not exceed three (3) years (basic year and two (2) one (1) year options).
