Site work for a civil project in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary Labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the Project, as more specifically described in specifications. This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the specifications, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the Agency. The work performed under this Contract includes the furnishing of all Labor, supervision, and select materials and equipment for construction of the Sweeney Ranch Pump Station discharge pipes and structures. This work includes demolition of the existing Sweeney Ranch Pump Station, construction/installation of the new pump station structure, trash rack, discharge piping, valves, gates, pipe vault structure, structure excavation and backfill, levee excavation, levee and ramp fill, sheet pile walls, pipe outfall structure, access ramp, aggregate surfacing, and other work necessary to complete the project. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $7,600,000 to $9,400,000 CONTRACTOR LICENSE REQUIRED: General Engineering Contractor, Class A The work to be performed under this contract includes the furnishing of all Labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental work for: Sweeney Ranch Pump Station discharge pipes and structures. The basis for award shall be base bid only, with no additive or deductive items, or no consideration of additive or deductive items. Contract Documents are contained herein and include: Notice to Contractors, the SAFCA General Specifications, the Special Provisions, the Bid Proposal form and any attachments, exhibits, drawings, addenda, and/or documents provided by the Project Manager that pertain to this project. The Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Guarantee in the form of cash, a certified check, a cashier's check, or a bidder's bond provided by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of California and listed in the current Federal Department of Treasury Circular 570. The Bid Guarantee shall be executed by an admitted surety insurer in favor of the Agency. The total amount of the Bid Guarantee shall be not less than ten (10) percent of the Base Bid amount. No Bid will be considered unless accompanied by a Bid Guarantee.) The successful bidder shall be required to execute a material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the Agency, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Pursuant to Public Contract Code, section 22300, the Contractor may, at its own expense, substitute securities for any money being withheld by the Agency to ensure performance under this contract. The Contractor must notify the Agency of its intent to pursue this option prior to the issuance/execution of a contract. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality in any bid, and to determine which bid, in their judgment, is the lowest responsive bid of a responsible Bidder. Please refer to the Notice to Contractors for the estimated construction cost. The Agency does not have a standard bid bond form, the surety may issue on its own paper. After Bids are opened and the apparent lowest bidders identified, the apparent low Bidder must deliver their original Bid Guarantee to the Agency by 4:00 PM the first Monday following Bid Opening.
