The City of Port Aransas (COPA) is currently accepting bids for construction of an expansion and renovation to the City Hall/Civic Center located at 710 West Avenue A, Port Aransas, TX 78373. The scope of work includes the expansion and renovation of the existing City Hall and Civic Center. The project will require demolition both on the interior and exterior of the existing building tying the expansion into the existing office space. In addition to the new construction, the project includes minor interior renovations to the existing building, site, and modifications to concrete walks and landscaping. This is a lump sum contract. Bidders must submit a bid bond or cashier's check for not less than 5% of the maximum amount of the Bid (Base Bid plus all possible combinations of Additive and Alternate Bid Items). Performance and Payment Bonds are required from the successful bidder upon execution of the contract, each for 100% of the total contract price. One (1) signed original and one (1) electronic copy of the Qualifications must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked: "Statement of Qualifications for CITY OF PORT ARANSAS - CITY HALL/CIVIC CENTER EXPANSION & RENOVATION". Competitive Sealed Proposals must be submitted in a separate sealed envelope clearly marked: "CSP for CITY OF PORT ARANSAS CITY HALL/CIVIC CENTER EXPANSION & RENOVATION".
