Empire Sidewalk Improvements Project The project includes removing and widening sidewalk to 6-foot width and ADA ramp replacements along Empire Ave. between Lavette Ave and Superior St. The project also includes miscellaneous sidewalk repairs throughout the City. A certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the City of Benton Harbor will be required with each bid as security for the proper execution of the contract. A 100% Labor, Material, and Performance Bond will be required of successful bidder. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled opening without consent of the OWNER.
