The DSH is seeking bids for a contractor to perform firestop installation services for penetrations in fire-rated construction at their Atascadero Location. Question Deadline 03/14/2025 at 3:00 PM PT Bidders shall notify the DSH immediately via e-mail at SacContracts@dsh.ca.gov Description of Services/Background: 1. Contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds, and personnel to: provide the DSH with Firestop Installation Services to restore the hourly rating of fire rated assemblies that been compromised by Unified Hospital Command (UHC) speaker and associated Local Area Network (LAN) wiring. Firestop systems must be an approved Underwriter Laboratories system (UL) or have a supporting Engineering Judgement (EJ) to restore the rating and integrity of the existing fire rated construction. 2. Please carefully review and consider the minimum qualifications, and the detailed Scope of Work located in Attachment 19, Sample Agreement, Exhibit A, Scope of Work, in order to complete your bid. 3. The UHC System consist of installed speakers, speaker boxes, conduit, and cabling in DSH facilities. Fire rated walls, corridor ceilings, floors, and smoke barriers were penetrated during the UHC installation, compromising the construction's intended fire rating.
