The Region 9 Board of Education is hereby soliciting bids for the STEM Educational Spaces Design at Joel Barlow High School SCOPE OF WORK 2.01 The Region 9 Board of Education is accepting proposals from qualified architectural firms to reimagine the existing educational environment (Figure 1) to achieve the objectives in its STEM-focused vision. The Contractor shall provide the BOE with the following services (the “Services”): ? Requirements Gathering The Contractor will advise and engage in 2-4 stakeholder workshops with administrators, teaching staff, Board members, and representatives of the school community to review projected course offerings and planned usage for this area of the building. The Contractor will compile stakeholder input from district administration-led workshops and provide direction and industry practices on how to best utilize this area of the building to support the shared vision (See Figure 2). ? Implementation Timeline Establishment of a reasonable sequence of events and timeline for the successful completion of the project. ? Conceptual Design Development of conceptual design drawings to remodel the existing area of the school building to support the enhanced STEM learning opportunities in accordance with applicable regulations, codes and standards. ?
