Arlington High School Miscellaneous Improvements. Contractor's License Classification Required: Each bidder and all subcontractors shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed to perform the work called for in the contract documents. License Classification: A and/or B. Formal AB2031 Prequalification of Bidders and MEP Subcontractors For Projects using funds received that involves a projected expenditure of $1,000,000 or more No bidder may withdraw any bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the date set for the opening of bids. Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the following forms of bidder's security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price: (1) cash; (2) a cashier's check made payable to the District; (3) a certified check made payable to the District; or (4) a bidder's bond executed by a California admitted surety as defined in Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120, made payable to the District in the form set forth in the contract documents. Separate payment and performance bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract amount, are required, and shall be provided to the District prior to execution of the contract and shall be in the form set forth in the contract documents. All bonds (bid, performance and payment) must be issued by a California admitted surety as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure section 995.120. Each bidder must strive to meet goals and requirements relating to participation by Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises ("D.V.B.E."), of three percent (3%) participation, established by the District, or make a good faith effort in respect thereto and provide the District with a report as to the actual participation at the conclusion of the Project. Each bid must strictly conform with and be responsive to the contract documents as defined in the General Conditions. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Scope of Work: WORK INCLUDED WILL CONSIST OF BUT NOT LIMITED TO: • ROUGH GRADING / ON-SITE STORM DRAIN SYSTEM • ON SITE UTILITY RUNS AND CONNECTIONS • CONSTRUCTION OF NEW CONCRETE TIERED SEATING WITH STAIRS AND RAILING, CONCRETE FLAT WORK, NEW 6" CURBS AS SHOWN AND SPECIFIED • CONSTRUCTION OF LANDSCAPING AND IRRIGATION SYSTEMS • DEMOLISH OF EXISTING PAVING • INSTALLATION OF METAL HANDRAIL • DEMOLITION AND RESTORATION OF EXISTING LANDSCAPE • POWER, DATA AND COMMUNICATION • FOR BUILDING 'J' MEDIA ARTS, REPLACE EXISTING WINDOW WITH NEW WINDOW, NEW PAINT WALLS, NEW CONVENIENCE POWER OUTLETS AT CEILING HEIGHT, NEW TACK WALL PANEL, AND POWER, DATA AND COMMUNICATION WORK. • GYMNASIUM BUILDING R (RESTROOMS) VERIFICATION • TOILET BUILDING M-2 (RESTROOMS) VERIFICATION equest for Clarification deadline is: Friday, March 14, 2025.
