Scope of Services General scope of services are subject to the specifications herein, the Proposer shall: (a) provide Garbage Carts, Recycling Carts and Yard Carts to Residential Customers; (b) provide Residential Collection Services; (c) collect the Residential Waste generated in the Service Area; (d) deliver Residential Waste and Source Separated Recyclable Materials to the Designated Facilities; (e) comply at all times with the requirements in this Agreement and Applicable Laws; (f) provide all labor, services, supervision, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the Contractor's work under this Agreement; and (g) perform all of its work under this Agreement at Contractor's sole expense, in exchange for the payments by the City and Customers of the Rates authorized herein. The period of this Contract shall be for Sixty (60) months, beginning on July 1, 2026 and ending on June 30, 2031. This Contract may be extended by the City upon the same terms for one (1) additional successive sixty (60) month period or portions thereof, up to a cumulative total of One Hundred Twenty (120) months, by written notice to the Contractor given at least Ninety (90) days before the expiration of the term then in existence. The City reserves the right to award to one contractor or multiple contractors. The City of Germantown is requesting the submittal of REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) from qualified PROPOSERS interested in providing services for the proposed Solid Waste Collection Services per T.C.A. 12-3-101 et seq., T.C.A. 12-3-2002 et seq., and City of Germantown, TN Ord. No. 2007-21, 1, 2, 1-14-08 - Sec. 2-338.Competitive sealed proposals. Question Deadline 03/20/2025 at 3:00 PM CT Written clarification requests must be submitted. Written responses to written questions and any RFP amendment will be distributed on March 26, 2025, to all Proposers whose organization name appears on the distribution list accumulated from Intent to Propose Letters received Award. The award shall be made to the responsible proposer whose proposal the board determines is the most advantageous to the City, taking into consideration price and the evaluation factors set out in the request for competitive sealed proposals.
