**As of April 28, 2025, this project has been awarded to Rhino Pumps but the awarded amount is not yet available.** Reference Number 0000378712 The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals to enter into a contract with a qualified vendor to provide, and install permanent high-pressure, high-rate pumping equipment for the Energy & Geoscience Institute (EGI) at the University of Utah. Question Deadline 03/20/2025 at 2:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes Scope of Work. As indicated in 1.01, this RFP for high-pressure, high-rate, permanently installing pumping equipment. The pumping equipment will be installed on the pad for wells 16A(78)-32 and 16B(78)-32. Vendor is to advise university of any site preparation (e.g., concrete slab, etc., access to power or diesel) that needs to be carried out by the university. Type of Contract. This RFP is for a fixed price to provide, install, test and certify said pumping equipment as meeting all requirements. 3.01.1 Specifications. The following specifications for services and materials are preferred by FORGE. Connects to 4160 VAC, 3-phase power, supplied by Rocky Mountain Power or on-site generation. Operates continuously for two years at rates from 250 to 1,000 gpm (56.8 m3/hr - 227 m3/hr), at outlet pressures up to 3,500 psig (241 bar), with only normal scheduled maintenance. Equipped with variable speed control to allow starting injection from static (i.e., zero flow) up to 1,000 gpm (227 m3/hr) without exceeding 3,500 psig (241 bar) pressure at the pump outlet. Preventive maintenance and routine service can be accomplished while maintaining at least 50% of current test pump rate. Automatically shuts down if any operating parameter or condition (e.g., oil pressure, motor temperature) exceeds safe limits. Controls and sensors compatible with Networked SCADA system using DNP3, Modbus or equivalent communication protocols. Awardee will work with a third-party control system vendor to ensure compatibility and be responsible for connections to actuators and sensors on the pumping units. Accepts input water conditions: temperature up to 193 C, TDS up to 10,000 ppm (mg/kg), pH and analyte concentrations (mg/kg) within the ranges below
