1. The Owner is the Town of Fallsburg and the work site is located along a portion of the Sullivan O&W Rail Trail in Sullivan County. Access is provided via a one-mile portion of the rail trail near Tunnel Hill Road in South Fallsburg and/or temporary construction easement across an abutting property located on Clarion Acres Road in South Fallsburg. See Map Attached. 2. The project consists of interim grading work associated with a Federal Aid project (PIN RT21.11). All work contemplated under this contract is to be covered by and in conformity with the latest revisions of the NYSDOT Standard Specifications (US Customary), which are current on the date of advertisement for bids, and in effect as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements of Section 203 (Excavation and Embankment). 3. This project is being funded through a State and Municipal (SAM) grant administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY). All bidders are subject to the terms of the State of New York Contract for Grants Question Deadline 06/05/2025 inquiries regarding this bid will be accepted within three (3) business days prior to the bid opening. This project isfunded in part by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993. This project is funded in part by the Recreational Trails Program, an assistance program of the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Highway Administration. The DBE goal is: 6% The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 17% Minority Employment Goal 6.9% Women Employment Goal All bids must include the completed Bid Form, Non-Collusive Bidding and DisbarmentCertifications, and Lobbying Certifications. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not lessthan five percent(5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Instructionsto Bidders. No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract. The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Guarantee Bonds from an acceptable Surety Company for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid. Town of Fallsburg reserves the right to consider the bids for forty-five (45) days after receipt before awarding any Contract, and to waive any informalities in, and to reject, any and all bids or to accept the one that in its judgment will be for the best interest of the Town. All bids are subject to final review and approval by the Town of Fallsburg Supervisor before any award of contract may be made.
