Summary The project will address significant damage in Tumblin creek incurred by Hurricane Irma near a neighborhood comprised primarily of multi-family structures and condominiums. One area involves repair and expansion of gabion basket walls originally installed in Tumblin Creek to protect a steep stream bank. The other repair involves impacts by Hurricane Irma to a large 72" headwall end structure and 42" pipe. 1.2. Background Gainesville is the largest city and also the county seat of Alachua County.
