The Town of Vernon, Connecticut is seeking proposals from a qualified contractor with the ability to furnish, temporarily store and deliver, as well as the option for installation at least fifty (50) and no more than seventy-five (75) various native species trees for assorted municipal, residential and business locations as part of the Live Here-Love Trees Tree planting project. Trees will be delivered, and or installed within the project area described in APPENDIX A. The selected contractor shall also provide all labor, materials and equipment associated with this project. Trees shall have a one-year warranty guaranteed by contractor, and must be planted between May 2025 and June 2026. Questions about this RFP should be directed to Leslie Campolongo, Planning Specialist by email only to lcampolongo@vernon-ct.gov, no later than Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Answers to questions received will be posted by Wednesday, March 26, 2025 on the Town's website at online. Emailed, faxed, or late bids will not be accepted. Proposals shall be opened and read aloud publicly on . Bid results will be posted on the Town website. This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements. The selected firm must meet all municipal, state, and federal AA and EEO practices and requirements. MBE's, WBE's, SBE's are encouraged to apply. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals in whole or part, to award any one service or group of services or all services, to negotiate with any or all companies submitting proposals, and to enter into an agreement with any contractor for any services mentioned in this RFP; if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
