Renovation of an educational facility in Sudbury, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
1 No work by other trades will be provided; should any such work be necessary provide it as part of the elevator contract. 2 As a minimum, ensure that following is completed: 1 Replace existing duplex receptacles in the elevator machine room and hoistway with GFCI receptacles. 2 In the machine room located in view of the elevator controller near the access to the machine/control room, replace the existing main line disconnect with a new disconnect means with an auxiliary disconnect contact with wiring to the controller for the emergency lowering device, to indicate if the disconnect is on or off. .3 Conduit and wiring between the disconnects and elevator power input point (transformer or controller). .4 In the elevator machine room, one 15A 120V single phase circuit breaker or disconnect, located adjacent to the lock side of the machine room door, to power the door operator. The power from this circuit to be derived from the emergency power supply if available. 5 Re&re the entrance rough openings and lobby wall finishes to facilitate replacement of the lobby entrance doors. .6 Perform a structural engineering review of the building guide rail bracket supports. 7 Any other work necessary to complete the scope of work with the exception of telephone wiring between the machine room and telecom room.
