Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hyattsville, Maryland. Working plans call for the renovation of a military facility; and municipal facility.

BASE 1 - Design Phase: The Contractor shall hire a licensed architecture and engineering design firm to develop, coordinate, and produce permit construction documents. Minimum required disciplines include architecture, structural engineering, and fire protection engineering. At the same time, the Contractor shall procure delegated design shop drawings from a) an established national manufacturer of static high rack shelving, as specified herein. Both the permit drawings and the shop drawings will be reviewed by the AOC, with respect to PG County code requirements. Contractor shall receive AOC approval on both prior to release for fabrication. The Contractor shall be responsible for all required permitting and inspections costs based on Prince George’s County DPIE (PG County) Fee Schedule as well as attend an in-person meeting with the PG County peer review coordinator. The Contactor shall be required to attend all scheduled meetings. These meetings will be held virtually using Microsoft Teams or at the project site in Hyattsville, MD. The design review meetings will be scheduled to last no more than four hours. All other meetings will be scheduled to last no more than two hours each. All meetings will be held between 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. OPTION 1 - Construction Phase: This scope includes the demolition of the existing pallet racking as well as fabrication, delivery and installation of shelving per AOC-approved construction documents and shop drawings, and construction of associated trade work. Work under this phase shall not be permitted to commence until the base work (Design Phase) is complete and accepted by the AOC, the construction phase is awarded by a funded contract modification and/or a written notice to proceed (NTP) is issued by the Contracting Officer.
