Site work for a mixed-use development in Monetta, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The board unanimously approved a change order to the contract for installing artificial turf at three Aiken County high schools, adding the field at Ridge Spring-Monetta High School to the list. According to the board’s agenda item, the change order is to “replace the existing grass field with new artificial turf, including all clearing, grading/earthwork, water lines, erosion control, concrete, stone base, at RSMHS.” The district’s administration is now authorized to negotiate finalizing the change order in the amount of $1,753,174 with H.G. Reynolds Company, the construction manager on the turf installation projects. As of March 14, 2025, the ACBE voted to issue up to $285M in general obligation bonds to pay for school renovation and construction projects listed in the 1-cent sales tax ballot question voters approved in November.
