TOWN OF BIG CYPRESSRIVERGRASS SOUTH TOLONGWATERINTERCONNECTING ROADThis project is in Collier County, specifically within the new Rivergrass South and Longwatercommunities on the south side of Oil Well Rd, just east of Desoto Blvd The contract will requirebidders to provide for the construction, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install a newinterconnecting roadway between the two communities, as well as all drainage and utilities that fallwithin the ROW. The road spans approximately 1.7 miles and includes an elevated section thathouses a panther crossing TheDistrict reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, make modifications to the work, award thecontract in whole or in part with or without cause, provide for the delivery of the project in phases,and waive minor or technical irregularities in any Proposal, as it deems appropriate, if it determinesin its discretion that it is in the Districts best interests to do so. Any protest of the Project Manual,including the terms and specifications, must be filed with the District within 72 hours of pickup ofthe Project Manual, together with a protest bond in a form acceptable to the District and in theamount of $30,000.00. In the event the protest is successful, the protest bond shall be refunded tothe protestor. In the event the protest is unsuccessful, the protest bond shall be applied towards theDistricts costs, expenses and attorneys fees associated with hearing and defending the protest.Failure to timely file a protest will result in a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 190, FloridaStatutes, and other law.Proposers are hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the Districtmay not request documentation of or consider a Proposers social, political, or ideological interestswhen determining if the Proposer is a responsible vendor. The District reserves the right to reject any proposals received after the time and datestipulated above.
