Description The Manhasset-Lakeville Water District has retained H2M to upgrade the existing GAC Treatment System at Eden Well Site by replacing the original two (2) 20,000 lbs vessels with two (2) 40,000 lb vessels. This site consists of one well, disinfection and corrosion control. During normal operation, the well receives sodium hypochlorite and caustic soda before going to system. The new larger vessels are higher than the existing vessels, and will require the demolition of the walls and roof to accommodate the new vessels. The walls would not accommodate the extended height and will need to be taken down to the foundation. Plan deposit is refundable in accordance with the terms in the Information for Bidders to all submitting bids. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the Manhasset-Lakeville Water District, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such further security as may be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities and to accept such bid which, in the opinion of the Owner, is in the best interests of the Owner.
