Site work and paving for a road / highway in Fremont, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The Work for which Bids are asked includes reconstruction of the existing road including but not limited to the following: The proposed project will include pulverizing approximately 24,400 sq. yds. of existing asphalt pavement, grading the pulverized material to act as additional road base, installation of a 5ft wide bike lane, asphalt paving (3 thickness), gravel shoulder installation, minimal road base reconstruction, drainage improvements and site restoration. There are no prevailing wage rates for this contract. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents [and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing
