Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
2025 Elkhorn Streets Project The work includes furnishing of all materials and equipment and performance of the following work, according to the Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents (PS & CD). The Base Bid for the project consists of the roadway reconstruction of approximately 0.25 miles of roadway on Westward Drive (From S Franklin Street to S Church Street) including full roadway reconstruction - including excavation to meet the new proposed roadway profile, new aggregate base, curb & gutter, new sidewalk on both sides, and roadway surface. Storm Sewer along Westward Drive will be fully replaced, as well as the existing watermain. Both the Sanitary and Water laterals throughout the corridor will be replaced as well. An underdrain storm sewer system will be installed within the terrace for residential connection of sump pumps as well. This portion of work will contain tree removal, new pavement markings, signage, and restoration. A set of alternates will be provided for the work on Westward Drive for the option of installing either an asphalt pavement or concrete pavement. Additionally, the Base Bid will include the full depth (approx. 4-inch) mill and overlay of the Elkhorn Business Park on Commerce Court, George Martin Way, and Seymour Court. This work will also include spot replacement of curb & gutter, driveway restoration, and utility adjustments. The Base Bid will also include the work package for the removal and naturalization of the Pheasant Way Retaining Wall. Work will include removal of the failing existing retaining wall, realignment and extension of the storm sewer from the roadway to the existing stormwater basin to the North, and the restoration of the area. An Additional Bid has also been provided for the Patching of a ~4,000 SF section of roadway nearby the intersection of Marshall and Baker Street. Major work items for the Base Bid and approximate quantities include: 15,260 SY of asphaltic surface removal, 3,200 Tons of asphalt, 8,600 Tons of base aggregate, 6,400 LF of concrete curb and gutter, 13,500 SF of new sidewalk installation, 3,200 LF of Storm Sewer pipe, 2,500 LF of Watermain & Lateral pipe, 900 LF of Sanitary Lateral replacement, and landscape restoration. A Bidders qualification state- ment form will be issued with the Bid Documents. The Bidders Qualification Statement form must be completed and submitted online along with the bid submittal. No bids will be accepted from any Bidder who has not submitted a Bidders Qualification Statement form. Contractors who have submitted prequalification statements to the City of Elkhorn, for this calendar year and for work specific to this project, shall state this on their Bidders Qualification Statement form and prequalification forms will be reviewed. The Owner reserves the right to reject the bid of any Bidder who has been determined to be unqualified. The PS & CD require that the selected Contractor and Subcontractor(s) furnish a Certificate of Insurance. All Bids shall be accompanied by Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, payable to the City of Elkhorn, in the amount equal to five percent of the bid. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within the 90-day period after the date of the bid opening. Please contact Kapur if you have any questions.
